Long awaited by photographers everywhere, the much-heralded Olympus XZ-1 has finally arrived. The media heralded the XZ-1 as a camera for all levels of users; whether you are an experienced photographer or a newcomer to digital photography, you will find what you are looking for in this compact, high-quality camera. It's easy to use for beginners, but has features that will excite even the most advanced photographer. In this report we'll look at some of the pre-launch claims for the XZ-1 and see how it stacks up.
Taking amazing pictures in a wide variety of settings while using the Olympus XZ-1 is made easy when you take advantage of the eighteen scene modes. Greater control is gained when using some of the more atypical modes on the XZ-1 in addition to the more familiar landscape, portrait, and sport modes. You can combine two images into one photo using Multi Exposure. With the XZ-1 you achieve this by using your camera without having to use external software such as Photoshop.
